The name Jeep came from the abbreviation G.P. for “General Purpose” vehicle.

In Korea, Circa 1969, I was a 1st LT, and had my own personal Jeep. But the Koreans were forever stealing my windshield wipers and the rats would piss on my phone everynight!

As a USAF weatherman, I worked in a Korean weather station at a Korean airbase. The building had originally been a mess hall.
The rats were everywhere: day and night! Looking down from holes in the ceiling; running here and there; and even under my chair! The general who commanded the USAF

Air Weather Service walked into my office and a rat 🐀 rat across his shoes! Well, he just turned around and walked away never for me to see on that day!

Apparently my entire neighborhood is infested. I’ve been trapping and poisoning them for 3 years, while three cats observe – but do nothing. See: Generals. 😆

I drove a Jeep while in the Marine Corps. It was from WWII. All of the ones we had were from that era. They were spotless & functional.
